JEAN DUMANGIN

Jean Dumangin has roots & quot; deep & quot; several centuries. The current family represents the eleventh generation since Firmin Dumangin - a vine grower in Ludes, born in 1645 - leaves the first oenological traces of the family. Its vineyards (9 ha total) are located in Chigny-les-Roses, a historic center classified Premier Cru lying on the slopes of the Montagne de Reims.
Jean Dumangin Champagne House is committed to an ecological approach with the aim of producing wine in optimal conditions and maintaining ALL natural balances; the ecosystem & egrave; preserved in a maniacal way and this favors a great biodiversity & agrave; in the vineyard. The 'HVE' certification (which guarantees a high environmental value) allows the Casa J.Dumangin to be officially considered as a bishop for the defense of the biological balance of the territory.
CURIOSIT & Aacute ;: The name Chigny-les-Roses & egrave; relatively recent. Emile Loubet, former president of the Republic, decided in 1902 to rectify the change of name from Chigny-en-Montagne to Chigny-les-Roses, for the presence in the village of a famous rose garden, much admired by its many visitors.
